New Look Party Season Competition

I'm a little behind this week. Up until now I've been posting every three days or so, but it's the last couple of weeks of semester and I've had a few deadlines.

This week my festive side has been starting to make an appearance for the first time in about ten years (no sudden movements or you might scare it away), so I decided to enter New Look's 'Shape up for the Party Season' competition.

The contest is to put together an outfit using one of New Look's party dresses and shoes and accessories from their website, and the five winners receive a £100 New Look voucher each.
The dress you choose should suit your body type, hourglass in my case, and they've put together a guide to help you out HERE.

For hourglass shapes like mine pencil dresses and skirts look gorgeous because they show off your waist, but I chose this absolutely stunning Black Lace Collar Dress by Mela as a little waist belt like this will nip you in really nicely and emphasize your curves.

I matched the dress with these amazing Black Spike Heel Court Wedges by London Rebel and this practical little Black Spike Hobo Bag.
The great thing about monochrome outfits like this is you can add a little shock of colour like dark red lipstick, or scarlet nails. Add some silver jewellery and you're good to go.
